We painted the corks half flesh tone and half red color. We used felt for the hat and beard, added glitter and a face. Ready to be placed on the family Christmas tree! Inspired by the cute idea on :http://www.redtedart.com.
By popular demand we made the pine cone Christmas trees again. The recent version has pretty ribbon around the base. We will let you decide which looks nicer.
My first graders and I accepted the challenge of making ornaments for our school pine tree. We decided to use yogurt containers glued together to make ornaments. We reused some packing plastic binding to make stars. The results were great and weather proof!
Reused and recycled material in crafts is no longer a choice, but an idea who's time has come. We have many materials that with a bit of thought can be reused, recycled or uncycled to create something new, thus reduce waste.
My group of 30 children have fun creating and imagining activities reusing materials and giving them new meaning.
