Paper Valentines


We made paper Valentines out of painted butcher paper (bulletine board paper). We punched holes all around and then laced them with left over wrapping ribbon. We left one side open for stuffing with recycled computer paper! They ended up looking like heart pillows.

Christmas Tree Cardboard Craft



My group made Christmas trees using cardboard (painted), recycled beads (undid old necklaces), tp roll covered with fabric scraps and a star made out of an empty coffee capsule.

Cardboard Tribal Halloween Masks


We made tribal masks out of cardboard and painted them. This craft lends itself to Halloween, Carnaval or a tribal theme. It is fun seeing how creative each child can be.

Leaf Craft - Newspaper and Cardboard






We did our own take on a very interesting idea from http://www.kidscraftweekly.comWe stamped a green leaf print (used folded tp roll ) and glued on some painted cork leafs. We really liked the way the newsprint shown through the paint. This is a great Autumn project!

Covered an old notebook

Mikado Game made with Skewer Sticks



We made our own mikado game out of skewer sticks (some were washed and reused). The children had fun painting and creating their own game. This was part of a lesson on making your own toys.

Cork Sheet and Twig Door Hanging



A friend of mine gave me some old cork sheets.  I remember seeing a great idea at: http://crafts.kaboose.com/leafy-door-hanger.html We decided to make our door hanging using the cork which we painted. The kids glued the leaves onto some string and tied them to a twig. They were a great hit!
